Stronger instruction.
More coherent systems.
Better outcomes.
Meaningful improvement starts with the people doing the work. I partner with educators and leaders to build on their strengths, translate research into practice, and create the conditions for lasting improvements in literacy instruction and student learning.
MEET GENEVIEVE
Hi! I'm Genevieve. Nice to meet you.

I’ve spent my career trying to understand why some students get the instruction and support they need to be successful while others don’t, and why some teachers get the knowledge, tools, and support they need to be successful with their learners while others don’t.
That question has taken me from the classroom to roles in special education, school psychology, literacy, instructional leadership, and systems change. Along the way, I’ve learned that lasting improvement rarely comes from a single program, training, or initiative. It comes from connecting research to strong instruction and building coherent systems that make effective teaching easier to do every day.
Today, I partner with schools and districts to do exactly that.

How we partner with schools
Every school and district brings its own strengths, challenges, and priorities. I partner with educators and leaders to build on what's working, address what's getting in the way, and translate research into practical, sustainable improvements.
What We Help Schools Achieve
Strengthen Literacy Instruction and Intervention
Teachers are at the heart of meaningful instructional improvement. I partner with educators to build on their strengths, deepen their understanding of evidence-based practices, and develop and adapt instructional materials that support effective teaching. Together, we work to strengthen instruction and intervention to better meet students' diverse learning needs.
Make Data Meaningful and Actionable
Using data well means knowing what questions to ask, which information can help answer them, and how to interpret the evidence within its limitations. I help educators and leaders develop the assessment literacy, tools, and collaborative practices to understand student learning, make informed instructional decisions, and evaluate whether their efforts are making a difference.
Build Coherent, Sustainable Literacy Systems
Lasting improvement happens when curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention work together toward shared goals. I partner with school and district leaders to establish clear priorities, align practices and resources, and build the structures and capacity needed to sustain improvement over time.

Our Work in Practice
K-12 Curriculum Review & Alignment
Partnered with a district to review its K–12 ELA curriculum, identify priority standards, develop learning progressions and proficiency scales, and support teachers in designing coherent, standards-aligned instructional units.
Writing Across the Curriculum in 6–12
Designed and facilitated professional learning to strengthen writing instruction across secondary content areas. Partnered with school leaders to develop systems for monitoring implementation and provided ongoing instructional coaching and professional learning to support teachers in integrating evidence-based writing practices into their classrooms.
Districtwide Structured Literacy Implementation
Supported the adoption and implementation of an evidence-based structured literacy program, from facilitating the initial pilot through districtwide rollout. Designed responsive professional learning to build educator capacity, developed systems to monitor implementation and student outcomes, and supported alignment across tiers of instruction.
MTSS Program Evaluation & Improvement
Conducted a districtwide evaluation of literacy instruction and intervention systems, examining current practices, gathering perspectives from educators and leaders, and identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement. Developed actionable recommendations to strengthen alignment, clarify decision-making processes, and improve the effectiveness of tiered supports.
